Today’s post is about my only child and the lessons he taught me over the years…
Today he is turning 20 and I wanted to mark this day as important (it was important for me when I was his age).
Lesson 1:
You are never ready to have children. The responsibility, the change, the attention and love they require will change and challenge you over and over again.
Lesson 2:
Children arrival wakes up your inner child. If you are open to this magic, you will learn to fall in love with life, nature, everything once again.
Lesson 3:
You are not going to be as good as a parent, as you thought you would be when you were pregnant
Lesson 4:
Time is one of the most precious things / entities on earth. You can never get it back and you can do so much during your baby’s nap or at night
Lesson 5:
Having teenage children teaches you true unconditional love
Lesson 6:
You did not know how anxious you were, until you had a baby
Lesson 7:
Teaching 3 years old child to ski by yourself may not be a good idea
Lesson 8:
Family support is invaluable thing, that’s why they say “It takes a village to raise a child”
Lesson 9:
You will grow spiritually as a parent, if you are open to it. You will finally learn to pay attention and focus not only on yourself (with a lot of setbacks)
Lesson 10:
Children grow very fast, instead of taking pictures and writing articles, laugh with them, read to them, tickle them and jump into puddles with them.
